FREQUENTLY ASKED
What Are Carpet Tiles?
Modular carpet squares, usually 50cm × 50cm or carpet plank, usually 25cm x 100cm. Laid piece by piece instead of in large rolls. They install faster, waste less, and any single tile can be replaced if damaged.
Carpet Tiles Are Best For?
- Offices
- Meeting Rooms
- Retail
- Hotel corridors
- Ideal where you want sound absorption, comfort underfoot, and easy spot replacement.
Carpet Tiles Are Not Suitable For?
- Wet areas like kitchens
- Bathrooms
- Balconies
- Anywhere exposed to weather or damp slabs.
- For humid or ground-floor rooms, SPC flooring is the better choice.
Carpet Tiles vs Broadloom Carpet Roll?
Carpet tiles are faster to install, lower in wastage, and easy to repair. For most offices and furnished rooms, tiles are the more practical long-term choice.
Broadloom Carpet Rolls gives a seamless look and can be equipped with a thick soft underlay to provide excellent cushioning. Give you a luxurious overall
Can Carpet Tiles Be Installed Over Existing Tiles or Raised Floors?
Yes, as long as the surface is clean, dry, and reasonably level. Grout lines and minor unevenness are usually fine. Loose tiles or moisture issues must be fixed first, we confirm this during site measurement.
Can Damaged Tiles Be Replaced Individually?
Yes, this is the biggest advantage of carpet tiles. A stained or worn tile can be swapped in minutes. Keep around 5% spare tiles from the same batch, as colours vary slightly between production lots.
How Do I Clean and Maintain Carpet Tiles?
Vacuum regularly, clean spills immediately, and schedule professional hot-water extraction every 12–18 months for commercial spaces. Do not wet mop. With basic care, good carpet tiles last 10–15 years.
Do You Provide Site Measurement?
Yes. We provide professional site measurement to ensure accurate quantities and quotation. A RM100 measurement fee applies and will be fully credited towards your initial deposit when you proceed with us.
Why Is Wastage Required?
Additional flooring is required for cutting and fitting during installation. We typically allow approximately 5% wastage for standard layouts, while more complex layouts may require a higher allowance.
Why Is Wastage Important When Comparing Quotations?
A lower price per sqft does not always mean a lower final cost. A quotation with a lower rate but significantly higher wastage may result in a higher total amount.
Always compare the total flooring quantity and final payable amount, not just the price per sqft.
At Citra Aladdin, wastage is calculated according to the actual site layout and installation requirements to avoid unnecessary material costs.
Does Carpet Flooring Come With a Warranty?
Yes. Our carpet flooring comes with a Warranty, covering manufacturing defects and installation workmanship, subject to our warranty terms and conditions.
Please note that damage caused by water leakage, subfloor moisture, uneven flooring, improper use, or external factors is not covered under the warranty.
