• What Is Vinyl Click Flooring?

  Vinyl Click is a floating flooring system made with a flexible vinyl core and click-lock joints. It is installed without glue and provides a softer, quieter and more comfortable feel underfoot compared with rigid flooring such as SPC.

• Vinyl Click-Lock VS SPC Tiles VS Vinyl Tiles

  Vinyl Click-Lock
  Vinyl click-lock uses an interlocking floating system, where each plank locks securely to the next instead of being glued directly to the floor. Its flexible construction makes it more forgiving of minor subfloor imperfections, while the locked joints help keep the planks together and reduce visible gaps.

  SPC Tiles
  SPC uses a rigid-core click-lock floating system. Its solid construction provides a firm and stable feel underfoot, but because the core and locking joints are rigid, the subfloor should be flat and properly prepared. Uneven areas can create movement or stress on the click-lock joints over time.

  Vinyl Tiles (Glue-Down)
  Vinyl tiles are glued directly onto the subfloor, so the floor surface needs to be flat, smooth and properly prepared. Any unevenness, joints or imperfections underneath may become more noticeable after installation.

  Important: Vinyl click-lock still requires a reasonably level subfloor. It can tolerate minor imperfections, but it should not used for significantly uneven flooring.

• Is Vinyl Click Suitable For Uneven Floors?

  Vinyl Click is more forgiving than rigid SPC flooring, but the subfloor should still be reasonably flat, clean and stable. Large uneven areas should be rectified before installation for the best long-term result.

• Is Vinyl Click More Durable Than SPC?

  Vinyl Click has a more flexible click-lock system, which can better tolerate minor movement from the subfloor. This can reduce stress on the locking joints. Overall durability still depends on product thickness, wear layer, installation quality and site conditions.

• Is Vinyl Click Waterproof?

  Yes. Vinyl Click flooring is waterproof and suitable for normal indoor residential areas. However, standing water should still be cleaned up promptly and it is not recommended for outdoor areas.

• Does Vinyl Click Require Glue?

  No. Vinyl Click uses a click-lock floating installation system and does not require glue to secure the planks to the floor.

• Can Vinyl Click Be Installed Over Existing Tiles?

  Yes, provided the existing tiles are stable, reasonably flat and in good condition. Uneven joints, loose tiles or major level differences may require floor preparation before installation.

• Is Vinyl Click Comfortable To Walk On?

  Yes. One of the main advantages of Vinyl Click is its softer and more resilient feel underfoot. It also produces less of the hard, rigid walking sensation associated with SPC flooring.

• Is Vinyl Click Quieter Than SPC?

  Generally, yes. Because the vinyl core is more flexible, Vinyl Click tends to produce a softer and quieter walking sound compared with rigid SPC flooring.

• Is Vinyl Click Suitable For Heavy Furniture?

  Yes, especially thicker Vinyl Click products. Heavy furniture should still use proper furniture protectors and should not be dragged directly across the flooring.

• What Thickness Of Vinyl Click Should I Choose?

  For lighter residential use, 4.5mm is suitable. For most own-stay homes, 5.0mm offers a better balance of comfort and durability. A 5.0mm Heavy Duty option with a thicker wear layer is better suited to higher-traffic residential or commercial areas.

• What Is The Difference Between 0.3mm And 0.5mm Wear Layer?

  A 0.3mm wear layer is suitable for most residential applications. A 0.5mm wear layer provides better resistance against long-term surface wear and is recommended for heavier traffic or commercial use.

• Can Individual Vinyl Click Planks Be Replaced?

  Yes, but because Vinyl Click uses an interlocking floating system, replacing a plank may require dismantling the flooring from the nearest wall or edge until the damaged plank is reached.

• How Do I Maintain Vinyl Click Flooring?

  Regular vacuuming or sweeping and damp mopping are usually sufficient. Avoid excessive water, harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning tools.

• Do You Provide Site Measurement?

  Yes. We provide professional site measurement to ensure accurate quantities and quotation. A RM100 measurement fee applies and will be fully credited towards your initial deposit when you proceed with us.

• Why Is Wastage Required?

  Additional flooring is required for cutting and fitting during installation. We typically allow approximately 5% wastage for standard layouts, while more complex layouts may require a higher allowance.

• Why Is Wastage Important When Comparing Quotations?

  A lower price per sqft does not always mean a lower final cost. A quotation with a lower rate but significantly higher wastage may result in a higher total amount.

  Always compare the total flooring quantity and final payable amount, not just the price per sqft.

• Does Vinyl Click Flooring Come With A Warranty?

  Yes. Our Vinyl-Click flooring comes with a Warranty, covering manufacturing defects and installation workmanship, subject to our warranty terms and conditions.

  Please note that damage caused by water leakage, subfloor moisture, uneven flooring, improper use, or external factors is not covered under the warranty.
